Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) in cooperation with Malaysian Rowing Association (PERDAMA) is organising a rowing competition – The UNITEN Rowing Invitation 2005, from 17 – 19 June 2005 at Tasik Putrajaya. Approximately 125 participants from Higher Learning Institutions such as Universiti Multimedia (MMU), Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNITAR), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and UNITEN will be participating in the competition. Yang Berhormat Datuk Azalina binti Dato' Othman Said, Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia will be presenting the Challenge Trophy to the winning teams on Sunday, 19 June 2005. This programme is aimed at introducing rowing sport and to encourage integration amongst university students. This programme also promotes Tasik Putrajaya as the main venue for water sport and shall be an annual event co-organised by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) and UNITEN.
