TNB and Yayasan Harapan Kanak-Kanak Malaysia, under the patronage of Y.A.B. Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah Mansor, wife of our Deputy Prime Minister, will be jointly sponsoring works of art by Kuantan born - Japanese based abstract artist Soh Boon Kiong at the Galeri Tenaga, Wisma TNB, Jalan Timur. As Soh admits, he is an artist who responds to his subjects with a unique clarity of vision and an attention to light and colour. For Soh, a painting should have an intimacy and a mysteriousness. "At it's best, a piece of work should also have an edge : something in it that takes a moment, a second look, an effort to comprehend," says Soh Boon Kiong.
