Tenaga Nasional Berhad was awarded 'Anugerah Majikan Berdaya Saing (Industri Besar)' at The National Labour Day 2008 Celebration. Y.Bhg. Dato' Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh, the President/CEO received the award from the Prime Minister, YAB Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. Other recipients of awards were Prof Madya Dr. Izham Zainal Abidin, Deputy Dean (Academic & Quality Assurance) Universiti Tenaga Nasional, for the "Anugerah Tokoh Pekerja Lelaki (Kumpulan Eksekutif)' and Mr. Adnan Saidin, Senior Technician from TNB Alor Setar, Kedah for the 'Anugerah Tokoh Pekerja Lelaki (Kumpulan Bukan Eksekutif)'. The National Labour Day 2008 celebration was held on 3 May 2008, Saturday, in Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil. It was attended by more than 10,000 workers from Government agencies, private agencies, Statutory Bodies and Government Departments. TNB was represented by 120 staff comprising of TNB's senior management, society/union leaders and representatives from various divisions.
