Another feather to the cap! TNB was ranked 12th in the Corporate Governance Survey 2008 published by the Minority Shareholder Watchdog Group (MSWG) in collaboration with the Nottingham University Business School (NUBS). The survey presents the findings on the level of compliance of all public listed companies (PLCs) with the recommended corporate governance practices enjoined by the Malaysian Code on Corporate Governance (CODE); the Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (Listing Requirements) and those requirements not already enjoined by the CODE and Listing Requirements as well as the new recommendations in the revised Code and Listing Requirements. A special award ceremony was held in conjunction with the Launching Ceremony of the Corporate Governance Survey 2008 on Wednesday, 26 November 2008 at a leading hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Company Secretary, Nor Zakiah Abd Ghani received the award on TNB’s behalf from Tan Sri Abdul Halim Ali, Chairman of MSWG.
