Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has once again been recognized for practicing the principles of Enterprise Governance by Malaysian Business - Chartered Institute of Management Accountant (CIMA). This year, TNB was awarded the Merit Award at the CIMA Enterprise Governance Awards 2010 held in Kuala Lumpur on October 1, 2010.
The award was presented by Y. Bhg. Dato' Mukhriz Tun Mahathir, Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry to Mohamed Rafique Merican, Chief Financial Officer / Vice President (Finance) on behalf of TNB.
The event, jointly organized by the Malaysian Business magazine and CIMA Malaysia, is intended to give recognition to Malaysian companies that have successfully adopted good and effective principles of Enterprise Governance. Assessment criteria include Corporate Governance, Corporate Social Responsibility, Risk Management and Return to Shareholders.
