Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) President/Chief Executive Officer, Dato' Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh was amongst the recipients of the prestigious Brand Leadership Award at the World Brand Congress 2010 in Mumbai, India on Tuesday.
The Brand Leadership Award is the most prestigious award an individual can receive at the congress, the world's leading conference on branding and marketing.
Dato' Sri Che Khalib was selected by an independent panel of juries in recognition of his professional efforts and contribution based on the following competencies:
- Strategic Perspective
- Business Goal Management
- Risk Management
- Team Orientation and People Management
- Change Agent
- Customer Focus
- Business Acumen
- Performance Management
- Achieving Excellence
Other recipients include the CEO of Singapore Tourism Board, Group Chief Marketing Officer of Vodafone and Vice President (European Marketing) of Cisco International Ltd.
Dato' Sri Che Khalib expressed gratitude to the support given by the Board of Directors, Management, 29,000 strong work force and family in leading TNB to greater heights.
Firmly believing that there are no short cuts to success, he said, "I always have faith in these three principles: Discipline, Integrity and Dedication. "Without such principles, I believe Tenaga Nasional Berhad would not be able to venture beyond our shores to some middle-east regions like Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Pakistan, Egypt and Yemen."
He also said that the award is an international recognition of TNB's efforts and aspiration to go global, and will inspire everyone at the national utility corporation to strive further to achieve its strategic plan of achieving Global Expansion and excellence in the not so distant future.
