Mobile Money is a revolutionary new mobile payment service that gives you the flexibility to make bill payments via SMS from your mobile phone!

Paying your electricity bills to TNB is now very easy.  All you have to do is to get your Mobile Money from Hong Leong Bank (HLB) or CIMB.

 


How to Register

  • On your mobile phone, send to 66123 the following SMS

    REG <space> TNB <space> TNB account or Bank Account <space> 6 digit security pin
  • You will receive a confirmation SMS as follows:

    Your Bill Registration for TENAGA NASIONAL – 042000xxxxxxxx has been successfully activated
  • You can register multiple TNB accounts.  Just follow the same registration format and ensure that your TNB account number is keyed in correctly.

  • You can also register online by logging on to www.mobile-money.com
  • Accounts will be activated immediately upon registration.  You will be able to pay your TNB bills through SMS the following month.

Paying Your Bills via Mobile Money

  • You will automatically receive a reminder SMS every month to pay your electricity bill:

    Bill: TNB (account number) Date: 15/01/08 RM200.00. To pay, please send PAYBILL#012# <6 digit security pin> before 30/01/08
  • To confirm payment, send a reply to 66123 as follows:

    PAYBILL#012# <6 digit security pin>
  • You will receive an SMS confirming that payment is successful:

    You have paid RM200.00 to TNB. Rebate received RM0.05

    Total Rebate: RM1.41 Month To Date Spending: RM200.00

  • You will receive a RM0.05 rebate each time they pay your TNB bill via Mobile Money.

  • To view your bill payment history, please logon to www.mobile-money.com.

  • Using this service is free of charge, no registration or annual fee required.

  • However, SMS charges are applicable as imposed by your mobile service provider.
