To report electricity supply disruptions, customers may contact the TNB Careline at 15454 by phone or through SMS.

When TNB receives a power outage report, a report reference number will be given to the customer. TNB will investigate and restore power as soon as possible.

  • TNB’s technician team will locate and investigate the cause of the disruption and acquire the necessary technical assistance
  • An investigation and identification of the premises, substation, faulty cable, cause of disruption and source alternative power supply will be carried out
  • If the disruption is caused by faulty underground cables, TNB will carry out cable excavation and replace the faulty cable before supply can be restored

Minor breakdowns

Supply restoration caused by minor breakdowns will be completed in no later than four (4) hours. Minor breakdowns refer to fuse damage at the customers’ premises or electricity poles that can be repaired by repair personnel.

Major breakdowns

Supply restoration caused by major breakdowns will be completed in no later than two (2) working days. Major
breakdowns refer to a short circuit in TNB’s main power stations and transmission lines or any incident beyond the control of TNB such as floods and pilferage of TNB installations.
