About the Program

SAVE or Sustainability Achieved via Energy Efficiency, is a program spearheaded by the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water to improve energy efficiency in Malaysia.    
 
100,000 rebate vouchers for 5-Star rated refrigerators, and 65,000 vouchers for 5-Star rated air conditioners have been allocated to states across Malaysia.

Rebates will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to qualified domestic consumers who purchase 5-Star rated refrigerators, air conditioners or chillers during the rebate offer period through participating retailers.

Over more than 4,000 retail outlets nationwide are registered with KeTTHA under the SAVE Rebate Program, with 12 different brands to choose from!

The rebate program starts on July 7, 2011 and will last until all rebates are taken at the end of 2012.

Eligibility Criteria

Refrigerators and Air Conditioners

• Must be a Malaysian consumer
• Must purchase new 5-star rated appliances under the SAVE Rebate Program
• Voucher must be redeemed within one (1) month after printing

Chiller

• Private company registered in Malaysia
• For energy efficient existing chillers for comfort cooling at commercial buildings

How to Apply

1. Log in to www.saveenergy.gov.my
2. Select Tenaga Nasional Berhad as electricity provider
3. Key in your details such as account number, name, NRIC and telephone number
4. Check your eligibility and print the vouchers
5. Redeem your voucher at participating retail outlets nationwide
6. List of energy efficient appliances can be found here

Terms & Conditions 

1. Rebate vouchers are limited to one appliance of each category per individual. Identification Card (IC), electricity bill and electricity account number will be verified for eligibility by the individual’s utility company through the online rebate website
2. Rebate vouchers will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis
3. Rebate vouchers used outside the specified timeframes will be disqualified
4. Rebate vouchers will not be issued for appliances purchased before or after the rebate offer period of the SAVE program 

Proof of Purchase ^{(For retailers only)}

Retailers are to submit the following documents to our Pusat Khidmat Pelanggan counters for redemption of rebate claims:

1. Rebate voucher of the appliances received from purchaser
2. A copy of Identification Card (IC)
3. A copy of purchase receipt or invoice
4. A copy of the purchaser’s most recent utility bill

TNB will process these rebate claims and rebate payment will be transferred into respective retailer's bank accounts after 2 weeks or within 10 working days.
