PERMAI Electricity Bill Discount for Eligible Commercial Customers from 6 Selected Sectors

Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in his announcement of the Pakej Bantuan Perlindungan Ekonomi & Rakyat Malaysia (Pakej Bantuan PERMAI 2021) on 18th January 2021 said that six selected commercial sectors will receive a 10% discount for their electricity consumption from 1st January until 31st March 2021.

These six sectors, namely hotel operators, theme parks, convention centres, shopping malls, local airline offices as well as travel and tour agencies, have been severely affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) wishes to announce that 10,768 of its commercial customers from the six sectors who have previously received the 15% discount under the Economic Stimulus Package 2020 are automatically eligible for the Permai discount.

Customers from the six sectors who have not been included in the initial approved list by the Government may submit their appeal by filling up the 10% Discount Application form.

The completed forms and the supporting documents should be submitted to TNB, the latest by 31st March 2021. Submission can be made via email to TNB Careline at [email protected]; or the nearest Kedai Tenaga (after the Movement Control Order (MCO) has been lifted).
