TNB Expands Global Footprint with A New RM705 Mil. Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul Contract in Kuwait

Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), through its wholly-owned subsidiary TNB Repair and Maintenance Sdn Bhd (TNB REMACO), has further strengthened its international presence by securing a seven-year contract with Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy (MEWRE).

In the newly awarded contract — valued approximately RM705 million — TNB REMACO and its joint venture partner, Kuwait-based AL DHOW Engineering, focus on the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) of the Sabiya Power Generation & Water Distillation Plant. Located 65 kilometres from Kuwait City, the plant has a total generation capacity of 299.4 megawatt (MW) across four oil- and gas-powered units, playing a crucial role in Kuwait’s energy infrastructure.
