GENERATION DIVISION

       
  1. CHEMIST

Responsibilities: The successful incumbents will:

     
  • Assist Senior Chemist (Chemical Services & Environment) in administration & management of Chemical Services & Environmental Section comprising of boiler water and steam chemistry, chemical laboratory, water treatment plant, electro chlorination plant and other chemical-related plants.
  •  
  • Implement and maintain Environmental Management System (EMS) based on MS ISO 14001:2004 standards.
  •  
  • Comply with all requirements under any Acts and Regulations.

Requirements: The prospective candidate:

     
  • Possess a good degree in Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with CGPA 3.00 or Second Class Upper and above and certified by Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA) and member of Board Malaysia Institute of Chemistry.
  •  
  • Have a minimum of 1-3 years experience in related working experiences.
  •  
  • SPM/SPMV with credits in Bahasa Melayu, English and Mathematics.

     

TRANSMISSION DIVISION

       
  1. SENIOR ENGINEER (GEOTECHNICAL - TRANSMISSION LINES)

  3. SENIOR ENGINEER (GEOTECHNICAL - SUBSTATION)

Responsibilities: The successful incumbents will:

     
  • Conduct review of geotechnical project requirements, with respect to transmission line structures/ substation structures and foundations.
  •  
  • Design, develop and/or identify suitable foundations, earthworks and/or pavement sub grades for transmission lines/ substation structures to be built.
  •  
  • Conduct, manage and prepare engineering study/design reports.
  •  
  • Prepare technical specification and relevant tender documents.
  •  
  • Ensure compliance to TNB and Regulatory requirements.
  •  
  • Manage any related engineering studies with TNB Research Sdn. Bhd.
  •  
  • Plan, manage, control and optimize the usage of budget for effective implementation during geotechnical engineering study / work activities.
  •  
  • Ensure fast response time for Fast Track Projects.

Requirements: The prospective candidate:

     
  • Possess a good degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical) or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical) and certified by Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA).
  •  
  • Be a member of Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM) and/or Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM).
  •  
  • Have a minimum of 10 years experience in related working experiences (with at least 5 years experience in tower/ foundation design/ building/substation projects).
  •  
  • Industry and functional exposures as listed below is an added advantage;
       
    • Transmission line construction / Building / substation construction.
    •  
    • Geotechnical engineering / design.
    •  
    • Engineering and construction knowledge.
    •  
    • Development of geotechnical engineering solutions with software applications and conducting technical investigations, analysis and engineering studies.

       

     

DISTRIBUTION DIVISION

       
  1. SENIOR ENGINEER (CIVIL)

Responsibilities: The successful incumbents will:

       
  • Liaise with State Planning & Project Engineer for Main Distribution Substation’s base and drawing/layout design.
  •  
  • Check and approve drawing/layout designs from consultant and Developer Engineer.
  •  
  • Supervise and check construction drawing tendered by TNB includes application to the Local Authorities Department.
  •  
  • Coordinate with General Manager (Land & Wayleave Management), State Manager, District Land Office or Land Administrator for Main Distribution Substation’s process of taking over land/site ownership.
  •  
  • Monitor on 33kV project progress.
  •  
  • Prepare Engineering services to resolve civil issue in every stage.
  •  
  • Involve in Inspection of building with State representative/ Officer before handing over.
  •  
  • Monitoring project work in progress.

Requirements: The prospective candidate:

     
  • Possess a good degree in Civil Engineering and certified by Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA) and a member of Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM) and/or Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM).
  •  
  • Have a minimum of 5-10 years experience in related working experiences.
  •  
  • Extra knowledge and/or skills that are specific to the job i.e;
       
    • Experience and Knowledgeable in Basic Main Distribution substations design.
    •  
    • Knowledgeable in engineering and construction management which includes “Microsoft Project” software for project planning implementation.
    •  
    • Posses’ skill in material quality and construction method.
    •  
    • Posses experience in managing Projects of Main Distribution Substation’s building.

       

     

GROUP FINANCE DIVISION

1. MANAGER (TAX OPERATION) Responsibilities: The successful incumbents will:

       
  • Prepare and submit tax returns and tax estimates to IRB for TNB.
  •  
  • Review, advice, monitors and coordinate the submission of tax returns and tax estimates to IRB for TNB Subsidiaries.
  •  
  • Compute TNB’s current tax and deferred tax computations for monthly financial reporting purposes.
  •  
  • Provide tax advice on all tax matters (direct and indirect taxes) relating to TNB and its Subsidiaries.
  •  
  • Provide assistance to TNB and its Subsidiaries during tax audit/investigation carried out by the tax authorities.
  •  
  • Conduct tax training for TNB Group’s personnel.
  •  
  • Act as the liaison between TNB Group and tax authorities/tax advisors.

Requirements: The prospective candidate:

     
  • Possess a good degree in Accounting or professional accounting qualification with any of the established Accounting bodies and certified by Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA).
  •  
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in tax compliance preferably in an established international tax consulting firm or in a multinational organization; at least 2 years of which must be at supervisory level.
  •  
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting and Malaysia tax laws including knowledge and experience in transfer pricing, tax audit & investigation and indirect taxes.

2. SENIOR MANAGER (INVESTOR RELATIONS & MANAGEMENT REPORTING) Responsibilities: The successful incumbents will:

     
  • Assist General Manager Investor Relations and Management Reporting to provide current and potential investors with an accurate portrayal of a company’s performance and prospects performing department function all the time.
  •  
  • Communicate with investment community and to provide two way communications within the guidelines of corporate governance which can benefit TNB through a fair market valuation for its securities and provide investor support for its strategic initiatives on need basis.
  •  
  • Identify key areas and focus for quarterly analyst presentation, Board Audit Committee (BAC) presentation, non-deal road (NDR) show presentation and AGM presentation to ensure main concern are addressed on quarterly and need basis.
  •  
  • Assist in providing guidelines and monitor the process of preparing analyst, BAC, NDR and AGM presentations to ensure efficient and timely reporting on quarterly and on need basis.

Requirements: The prospective candidate:

     
  • Possess a good degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Studies and certified by Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA).

  • Have a minimum of 6-10 years Investor Relations work experience in related working experiences.
  •  
  • Having industry and functional exposures as listed below is an added advantage;
       
    • Preferred industry exposure: Utilities.
    •  
    • Preferred functional exposure: Have worked in any other accounting are preferably corporate finance or financial planning/analysis or financial reporting with strong understanding of capital market.

Responsibilities: The successful incumbents will:

     
  • Manage and administer all planning and policies implementation and security management that are directed by Security Services & Intelligence Department related to administration, movement, operation, investigation, asset security, protection, risk management, relationship, training, welfare and personnel’s developments
  •  
  • Supervise all related matters to administration such as record and documentation, periodic reports and meetings related security
  •  
  • Coordinate operations related to patrol and security checks
  •  
  • Investigate internal and external investigation cases as per directives from Security Services & Intelligence Department

Requirements: The prospective candidate:

     
  • Possess a good degree in Bachelor (for Head of State Operations & Executive (Intelligent) positions) / Diploma (for Executive (Security) positions) in Administration and Security Management with CGPA 3.00 or Second Class Upper and above and certified by Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA).
  •  
  • Have a minimum of 1-3 years experience in security management.
  •  
  • SPM/SPMV with credits in Bahasa Melayu and English.

     

CORPORATE AFFAIRS DIVISION

1. MANAGER (MEDIA RELATION) Responsibilities: The successful incumbents will:

       
  • Plan and execute media activities for purposes of proper dissemination of information regarding TNB’s activities at Group and subsidiary levels through media relations.
  •  
  • Monitor and ensure all activities with regards to media relations are in line with Corporate as well as Departmental Business Plan. All activities are inclusive but not limited to:
       
    • Ensure amicable relationship with stakeholders at news agencies, media agencies, blogging communities and other corporate organizations.
    •  
    • Organise events, including get-togethers and networking sessions with objectives of improving working relationships between TNB and external communities.

     

Requirements: The prospective candidate:

     
  • Possess a good degree related to media relations, business management or mass communications and certified by Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA).
  •  
  • Have a minimum of 10 years of working experience in media management. Experience in public relations is added advantage.

2. MANAGER (CORPORATE BRANDING) Responsibilities: The successful incumbents will:

       
  • Provide advice on branding related matters to TNB and its subsidiaries.
  •  
  • Research and gather knowledge on latest industry practices in Branding and TNB’s business.
  •  
  • Deal with media owners on a regular basis for media buys.
  •  
  • Approve visuals and concept for corporate Congratulatory and Thank You advertisements, notice and classified advertisements, festive advertisements and all other advertising and promotional activities.
  •  
  • Liaise on a regular basis with creative agencies to do design work for Branding projects.
  •  
  • To give feedback and consideration on external requests by companies for advertisement participation and projects related to the use of TNB name and logo.

Requirements: The prospective candidate:

     
  • Possess a good degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Major in Marketing or Communications or Art & Design) and certified by Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA).
  •  
  • Have a minimum of 10 years of related working experience.

3. EXECUTIVE SECRETARY Responsibilities: The successful incumbents will:

       
  • Perform various executive and administrative support duties that are highly sensitive and confidential.
  •  
  • Plan and coordinating arrangements for professional meetings and conferences.
  •  
  • Receive and screening visitors and incoming calls, determining the priority matters, and providing alert messages to the executive or administrator accordingly.
  •  
  • Read and screening incoming reports and correspondence; making preliminary assessment and organizing documents.
  •  
  • Review, proofreading, and editing documents developed for the signature of administrator or executive.
  •  
  • Coordinate and facilitating the executive or administrator’s calendar to arrange meetings, appointments, and conferences.
  •  
  • Make travel arrangements, preparing itineraries, preparing, compiling, and maintaining travel records and vouchers.

Requirements: The prospective candidate:

     
  • Possess a good diploma in Secretarial and certified by Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA).
  •  
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of related working experience.
  •  
  • Knowledge of office processes, practices, and computer software applications.
