TNB’s Jimah East Power Comes On Stream

The first of two units coal-fired power plants owned and operated by Jimah East Power Sdn Bhd (JEP) has successfully achieved its commercial operation date (COD) at midnight yesterday, adding another 1,000 megawatts (MW) to Peninsular Malaysia’s existing generation capacity of 22,748 MW.

JEP is building two 1,000 MW ultra-supercritical (USC) coal-fired power plants in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, Tenaga Nasional Bhd’s (TNB) third and fourth super-efficient coal-fired power plant to date.
