CHANGE MANAGEMENT MANAGER (Distribution Division)

Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) is the largest electricity utility in Malaysia, listed on the main board of Bursa Malaysia serving a customer base of over 7 millions in Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah. TNB plays an integral role in the economic and social prosperity of the country by providing reliable and efficient services.
We wish to invite suitable qualified candidates to fill up the following position in TNB Distribution Division.

The successful incumbents will:

  • Supports Project Manager and Head of the Project Management Office members by assisting with both the management of the project stakeholders and end-users, covering ranges of communication plans and activities.
  • Champions Customers and Stakeholders Focus. Understands and keeps customers’ business needs continually in mind when taking actions or making decisions.
  • Act as an advocate for the Project Change Management, maintaining professionalism, positively dealing with change and recognizing opportunity together with developing and maintaining a wide range of relationships with key members of staff, and the wider organization at regional/ state and area level.
  • Deliver Results through others; Focusing on achieving agreed objectives and delivering results. Achieve delivery through sound planning and organization, whilst maintaining flexibility of approach in order to take account of new information or changed circumstances and modify approach accordingly.
  • Maximizes business opportunities; Apply analytical skills in order to acquire understanding of the underlying issues in a complex problems. Able to maintain a strategic perspective throughout keeping overall objectives and strategies in mind, and not being deflected from these when dealing with matters of detail.
  • Together with extensive administrative assistance you will support work on a project which may include:
    • Apply a structured change management methodology - instead of operating in an ad hoc manner, approach change management with purpose and intent.
    • Formulate strategy - evaluate how big the change is and who will be impacted to develop a customized strategy.
    • Develop plans - based on the strategy work, create a customized set of plans for moving people forward - including a communication plan, a sponsor roadmap, a coaching plan, a training plan and a resistance management plan.
    • Support other ‘doers’ - the change management resource is the coach and the go-to person for the other roles.
    • Channel Management: Assist with the development, promotion and deployment of effective customer communication strategies across TNB main engagement channels namely, Customer Service Centre (Pusat Khidmat Pelanggan) and the web.

The prospective candidate should:

  • Possess a good degree in Communication/Marketing/Business or Masters Degree in Communication or related subject.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in related working experiences.
  • Proven industry and functional experiences and exposures in enterprise-sized solutions.
  • A self-starter with an innate drive for achievement, a high degree of integrity, independent and possess good quality leadership skills, ability in managing change, strong analytical, planning and organising skills as well as excellent interpersonal and business communications skills in Bahasa Melayu and English are prerequisites for the above positions
  • Extra knowledge and/or skills that are specific to the job i.e;
    • Microsoft Office Products
    • Any related presentation products in the current market
