Tuanku Muhriz Power Station Strengthens National Electricity Supply

Tenaga Nasional Berhad's (TNB) electricity generation sector of Tenaga is taking another step towards strengthening the country's energy needs through the launch of an advanced power station in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, today.

The launch was officiated by Yang di-Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir. Tuanku Muhriz was also pleased to name the station Tuanku Muhriz Station.

Also present at the launch was Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun; TNB Chairman, Tan Sri Leo Moggie; TNB President/Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan and TNB's top management.

The station has two advanced coal plants using Ultra-Super Critical (USC) technology equipped with boilers, steam turbines, and generators from Japan, making it a highly efficient power station with 40 per cent efficiency, compared to 36 per cent by conventional plants.
