Electricity Safety Awareness Campaign

TNB has again fulfilled its responsibility as a generous corporate organisation, and proving its social responsibility by organising the Electricity Safety Awareness Campaign. The campaign was gracefully officiated by the Minister of Education, Y.B. Dato’ Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein at Dewan Tunku Ibrahim Ismail, Dataran Kluang, Johor on Monday, 18 February 2008. The objective of this campaign is to disseminate information as well as to create awareness on the importance of electricity safety through the briefings sessions to primary and secondary school teachers and the public. This campaign was introduced in 2004 and it has been successfully carried out in 160 primary and secondary schools in various locations in Malaysia. This campaign will be conducted in stages throughout the year with the help of some 3000 primary and secondary school teachers nationwide. Y.Bhg Datuk Wira Ir. Mohd Sidek Ahmad, TNB Senior Vice President (Operations & Technical), En. Ir. Ab’llah bin. Hj Mohd Salleh, TNB Vice President (Transmission Division), management of TNB, Kluang community leaders and teachers attended the launching ceremony of the campaign.
