Kilat Club TNB Organising The 8th Kilat Open Sixes And Sevens Hockey Tournament From 25th to 27th Ma

KILAT CLUB TNB are set to organise the 8th edition of the KILAT OPEN SIXES & SEVENS HOCKEY TOURNAMENT which will be held at the TNB Sports Complex at Jalan Pantai Baru from May 25 to 27, 2007. This annual tournament is sanctioned by the Malaysian Hockey Federation and Kuala Lumpur Hockey Association. The tournament, which was introduced in 1999, was to promote hockey and to unearth young talent. The organisers anticipate more than 100 teams to take part in the eight edition of the tournament, which offers challenge trophies and prize money amounting to RM22,000.00 for five categories. The five categories are Men’s and Women’s Open; Men’s Veteran (Above 40) Open; Boys’ and Girl’s Under 18. Seventy teams have confirmed participation , inclusive of several entries from Singapore, Thailand and Sri Lanka.
