Malaysia's Minister of Energy, Green Technology & Water meets TNB staff

Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) staff were delighted to meet Datuk Peter Chin Fah Kui, Malaysia’s Minister of Energy, Green Technology & Water at a gathering held on Monday 8 June 2009 at TNB Headquarters, Kuala Lumpur. It was his first official visit to TNB after being appointed as the Minister of Energy, Green Technology & Water. Datuk Peter Chin Fah Kui, in his speech highlighted that TNB staff need to practice the 1Malaysia concept which was introduced by Malaysia’s Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to improve the quality of customer service to its consumers. Datuk Peter said ‘being a Government Link Company (GLC), it’s the responsibility of the Company to emphasise on the 1Malaysia Concept which strives to provide the best customer service to ensure the consumers’ benefits. Electricity supply is very important and the Company should enhance in improving the services given to its consumers.” He also added that “to improve productivity, staff must be creative and innovative in delivering their tasks. Any failure by TNB will affect the Government as well in providing the best services to Malaysians as a whole.” The function was also transmitted via one way video conferencing to 25 TNB’s stations and departments through out Malaysia including Sabah Electricity Sdn. Bhd. (SESB) in Sabah. Also present were YB Puan Noriah Kasnon, Deputy Minister of Energy, Green Technology & Water, Y.Bhg. Tan Sri Lau Yin Pin, Board Member TNB, officials from the Ministry and TNB’s Management.
