New Electricity Tariff Soon - The Star

A new proposal for an electricity tariff increase will be submitted to the Cabinet in two weeks, with Energy, Water and Communications Minister, Datuk Seri Dr. Lim Keng Yaik hinting that new tariffs could be effective in a month’s time. He was quoted as saying that the proposed tariff increase would be justified based on the losses suffered by TNB and on the need to reduce the power reserve from the current 40% to s lower and “healthier” margin.
