Recoginition for Uniten's Quality Management

Universtiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) is a proud recipient of Certificate of Excellence - Quality Management in Industry Excellence Awards 2008, an official recognition of its work and efforts for quality and excellence in higher education field. In the past few years, it has made an excellent mark through teaching, research and scholarship in the areas of engineering, information technology and business. It keeps abreast of the needs of the local and international community. UNITEN is also the top recipient of external E-Science research grants among private higher-learning institutions for 2008. Its reputation in research and innovative activities continues to excel with patented developments and numerous distinguished awards. Besides that, UNITEN has also made progress in quality management through quality assurance and performance monitoring systems, having received the MS ISO 9001:2000 endorsement. The university’s involvement in quality management activities and the experience it has gained over the past three years has made it the first local university to receive the Quality Environment Certification form Malaysia Productivity Corporation in October 2008.
