TNB management wows investors

Management capability and efficiency were never the big attraction of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) before, let alone dividend yield. Investors, particularly foreign institutional funds, bought the utility stock mainly because they wanted to benchmark the portfolio performance against the KL Composite Index. Being a big-cap stock, TNB share price movements carry weight in the CI’s trend. But now investment analysts and fund managers are giving credit to TNB management for being able to contain operating costs and improve efficiency.
