TNB to digital map assets
01/01/2007
Tenaga Nasional Berhad plans to implement a corporate geographical information system (GIS) that will put all of its properties such as power transmission lines, sub-stations, buildings and surroundings like rivers and landmarks nationwide on a digital map, as part of its ongoing efforts to boost its operation. The GIS project will also include topography and terrain mapping, which will be useful in assisting the building of new transmission lines since workers will know exactly the location of hills and terrains. The GIS project is expected to take two years to complete.
