TNB Collaborates with Central Medicare on Solar Solutions To Achieve Its ESG Goals

• GSPARX collaborates with Central Medicare to install 6.039 MWp of solar capacity

• Central Medicare to save an estimated electricity bill of RM72 million over 25 years

• This energy transition initiative can reduce over 5,000 metric tonnes of CO2 per year

Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), through its wholly owned subsidiary GSPARX Sdn Bhd (GSPARX), continues to garner support from the manufacturing industry, further accelerating the nation's energy transition drive. The latest partnership with Central Medicare Sdn Bhd (CMSB) exemplifies this commitment.

CMSB, which is the subsidiary of HARPS Global Pte Ltd, signed the Supply Agreement with Renewable Energy (SARE), where GSPARX will install a rooftop solar photovoltaic system at the CMSB factory and hostel sites in Teluk Intan, Perak, with a total capacity of 6.039 MWp.

TNB President and Chief Executive Officer, Dato' Indera Ir. Baharin Din said the implementation of the green technology initiative aligns with TNB's dedication to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and aims to amplify the positive effects of eco-friendly progress while promoting universal well-being.
