Electricity in Kelantan Improved

Electricity supply in Kelantan has improved with the number of substations still disconnected has decreased to 1,496 as at 8 am (29 December) compared to 1,960 substations due to the flood situation. In addition to this, the loss in electricity supply has been reduced to 96 MW (megawatts) compared to 146 MW previously.

“As at 8 am, with the improved accessibility, 21 generator sets with up to 1,000 kilo Volt Ampere (kVA) have been successfully installed in Kelantan. A few others will also been installed at the required locations.

In Pahang, number of substations that are still disconnected has reduced to 331 compared to 498 substations.

While the electricity supply in Perak & Terengganu has improved with only one and five substations still disconnected respectively.

As at 8am, 26,991 users in Pahang are affected due to 18MW load loss, while in Perak and Terengganu respectively, some 2,725 users (3 MW) and 2,676 (5 MW) users are affected.
