Tenaga Nasional Berhad Exits from Track 4A Consortium

Tenaga Nasional Berhad ("TNB") wishes to announce that Suruhanjaya Tenaga ("ST") has informed that the proposal submitted on 15 May 2015 by TNB and SIPP Energy Sdn. Bhd. Consortium to develop the new 1,000-1,400 Megawatt (MW) Combined Cycle Power Plant in Pasir Gudang, also known as Track 4A project was not accepted because the levelised tariff could not meet ST’s terms in the conditional letter of award.
Following the decision made by ST, TNB ceased to be part of the consortium to develop the Track 4A project with SIPP Energy Sdn. Bhd.
