TNB’s Emergency Response Plan (ERP) Successfully Control Power Disruption

Quick action by Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) had ensured that power supply remained stable following malfunctions at several of TNB and Independent Power Producers (IPPs) power generator units yesterday.

This was due to the implementation of the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) that was activated according to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) managed to maintain the reliability (system reliability) of national power supply as planned.

The Increasing of load yesterday has forced TNB to implement the ERP.

Under the ERP implementation, supply had to be stopped in some areas in Pinang, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor, Kedah and Perak between 2pm to 5 pm yesterday.

Repair works at the affected power generator units were carried out from yesterday (Wednesday) until late this morning (Thursday) managed to increase the generation capacity. Generation of today is better and operates as usual.
