CEO of TNB named "Malaysia's CEO of the Year 2008"

TNB is proud to announce it’s President/Chief Executive Officer, Y.Bhg. Dato’ Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh was honoured the ‘Malaysia’s CEO of the Year 2008’ which was organized by News Straits Times and American Express. Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak presented the coveted award to Y. Bhg. Dato’ Sri Che Khalib at a ceremony held at Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur on 16th February 2009. The Malaysia’s CEO of the Year award bestows the most coveted honor on the country’s exceptional leaders who have successfully driven the organisation to spearhead the industry while making a lasting difference through the standards of strategic leadership, innovation, entrepreneurial and managerial expertise and performance. Y. Bhg. Dato’ Sri Che Khalib became TNB’s CEO in July 2004. Since then, TNB saw significant improvement in operational performance with outstanding technical KPIs achievements, which are comparable to international standards. Not forgetting its financial performance, TNB registered a record profit of RM4.2 billion in Financial Year 2007. TNB’s outstanding loan has also been significantly reduced by RM9 billion. He has also introduced various management initiatives such as rolling out the TNB 20 year Strategic Plan and gone on to receive many recognition and accolades including the Prime Ministers Industry Excellence Award in 2007. He believes in cultivating the three core values i.e. Discipline, Integrity and Dedication (DID) among the TNB staff, to push the company to a higher level to become a respectable organisation in the country and within the region.
