Launching Of Bachok Main Intake Substation

Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has again proved its capability to serve its people with its recent launch of 275/132 kV Main Intake Substation in Kandis, Bachok, Kelantan on Thursday, 14 February 2008. It was officiated by the Deputy Minister of Finance II, YB Dato’ Dr. Awang Adek bin Hussin. The Kandis Main Intake Substation is the second largest high voltage main intake substation in Kelantan and plays as an important hub for power supply in this state. Approximately RM14 million has been allocated to provide the necessary infrastructure for Transmission Division power supply in Kelantan and also part of northern Terengganu. With this new main intake substation, the national grid system can accommodate the energy supply demand for the development planned by the government in Kelantan, especially the Eastern Corridor Economic Region project (ECER). Y.Bhg.Tan Sri Amar Leo Moggie, TNB Chairman, Y.Bhg Dato’ Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh, TNB President/Chief Executive Officer, the management of TNB, and fellow community members attended this launching ceremony.
